To celebrate the 129th anniversary of Gabriela Mistral's birth, the Gabriela Mistral Foundation and Elqui Valley Foundation donated 21 PIANOS FOR CHILE. 

A special and moving ceremony was held in Santiago on Friday, April 6 at the Santiago Campus of the U. de Talca, with the attendance of the First Lady of Chile, Mrs. Cecilia Morel, the Minister of Culture Mrs. Alejandra Perez, the director of the Youth Orchestra Foundation Mrs. Alejandra Kantor, the Vice Rector of the University of Talca, Mr. Pablo Villalobos, as well as members of the diplomatic corps, dignitaries, friends and supporters of the foundation.

The 21 pianos were delivered in the afternoon of the same day and they have already arrived or are soon to arrive to their destinations in Montegrande, Pisco Elqui, Paihuano, Temuco, Curanilahue, Concepcion, San Bernardo, Santiago, Constitucion, Villa Alemana, Isla de Pascua, Isla Juan Fernandez y otras localidades.
