The Gabriela Mistral Foundation, Inc. is honoured to have a partnership of collaboration with SIGMA DELTA PI--the National Collegiate Honor Society.
Gabriela Mistral Foundation will collaborate with SIGMA DELTA PI with the purpose of awarding one copy of the book "From Chile to the World" to the students that have been selected to receive the annual "PREMIO GABRIELA MISTRAL".
Founded in 1945 as a "certificado premio," the award is granted to an outstanding graduate or undergraduate student of Spanish who is an active member of Sigma Delta Pi and who has demonstrated noteworthy involvement and initiative in his/her chapter. Honorary members are not eligible.
Any active chapter of sigma delta pi may nominate one student per year for the Gabriela Mistral Award and shall send the nomination together with supporting documentation, including at least two letters of recommendation and a current transcript, to the Executive Director of sigma delta pi.
The partnership connected to this award between the Gabriela Mistral Foundation, Inc. and Sigma Delta Pi started in July 2016.
Winners of the award will be given a beautiful certificate compliments of Sigma Delta Pi and the book "De Chile al Mundo," compliments of the Gabriela Mistral Foundation, Inc.
